WHAT IMPEACHMENT CHARGES?
Having failed to present any evidence on any charges, every single House Republican, including the *18* who are in districts that Biden WON in 2020, went ahead and voted to move forward with impeaching Biden. There is plenty of serious work to do in the House, but nothing is happening because the far right is spinning its wheels trying to keep it that way. Let’s thank our Democratic representatives for their nay vote and seriously question our GOP reps. Let’s tell them all that we will remember in November.
USE STORIES TO SHOW HARMS FROM ABORTION BANS
From a reader - Building on the Rogan's Tip from December 14 to call out restrictive abortion laws, this STAT piece has more examples of how these laws hurt families. The stories are difficult to read. However, we know that people retain this kind of information. Stories also give context to statistics, for example, that 1 in 5,000 babies are born with the genetic condition in Kate Cox's situation and that number is expected to increase. Let's strengthen our conversations against abortion bans with real, memorable examples of their dangers.
DOES WRITING TO VOTERS REALLY WORK?
Does it really work? Apparently, yes, and Vote Forward has the data to prove it. "After many months of analysis, we have results to share from our 2022 letter writing campaigns. These results build on our extensive track record of letter writing experimentation, going all the way back to our very first randomized controlled trial, which Vote Forward’s founder, Scott Forman, conducted from his kitchen table in 2017! We’ve now tested the effectiveness of Vote Forward letters on voter turnout more than 20 times through multiple RCTs over the past six years and measured a positive impact nearly every time. And we’re really encouraged by the positive results we saw in our experiments from 2022." If we'd like to know more details and the hard numbers, we can watch their webinar, here. Then, we can check them out and see how we can help.
