❌👑 WE WON’T LET HIM CRUSH US – 48 HOURS TO #NOKINGS ❌👑
Trump is actively trying to crush dissent using our own armed forces against us, silencing voices against his cruelty, corruption and authoritarianism. In spite of being demonized in the media and targeted by law enforcement, protesters continue to take to the streets in Los Angeles and across the country. He wants his power to be the story, especially with his coincidentally-on-his-birthday military parade on Saturday. We’re going to make sure it’s our defiance instead.
There are now more than 2,000 #NoKings demonstrations scheduled in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands and a dozen foreign countries. The number of commitments to attend has tripled in the last two days, with more than 10,000 people registering in an hour yesterday. We are coming together to fight for shared American values and reject tinpot dictator politics. Let’s make it as big as possible:
Identify three people who haven’t protested yet and ask them to join us at our nearest #NoKings rally Saturday
Register and spread the word about tonight’s pre-mobilization mass call at 8PM ET – they’ll have updates, messaging guidance and advice on best practices to make Saturday a success
Contact the local TV news stations in our media market and urge their assignment desk to send a crew to our local demonstration

🚨 THE DANGER IN LA AND THE DANGER IN DC 🚨
The scariest part about Trump’s deportation machine? It’s just getting going. This administration does not yet have the resources available to truly execute mass deportation on the scale they’ve threatened. But as Tom Homan and Stephen Miller spread fear in Los Angeles and across the country, Congress is inching closer to handing Trump exactly what he wants: billions of dollars funding detention camps and raids in our communities, while cutting vital health, education, and nutrition programs. There are many reasons to detest this bill, but taking money from the American people to fund the deprivation of our collective liberties is certainly one of them.
Our friends at the National Immigration Law Center have created an easy email tool here for us to call on our senators to reject the MAGA Murder Budget and invest in our people instead. Let’s use it to turn up the heat on them today.

🔥🌍 CLIMATE CHANGE PREVAILS AT THE EPA… AGAIN 🔥🌍
In just the latest victory for the fossil fuel industry and climate change profiteers, Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency has announced plans to repeal limits in greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants from power plants. As always, this is likely to face legal challenges, and as always, it is a boon to Trump’s donors and a disaster for anyone who breathes.
We knew this administration was going to make the crisis worse, and we know we can’t just wait around to repair the damage. We need to take what action we can at the state and local level and get back to work building the infrastructure for future climate action. Here’s some steps we can take today:
Let’s reach out to our governors and legislators and remind them the bill for climate change is coming due whether they believe in it or not, and we want the fossil fuel industry to pay it. We can find scripts and language here to push for climate superfund bills in our states
As with so many issues, much of the most valuable work on climate is being done by the grassroots. Let’s take a moment to identify an organization in our region focused on climate action and environmental justice we can connect with, get updates and alerts from, donate to and volunteer with
Polls show significant majorities of Americans understand the threat of climate change and want us to act on it. Now we need them to vote accordingly. Let’s sign up to volunteer with the Environmental Voter Project and help turn the environmentally conscious out at the ballot box

We’re facing an unprecedented wave of book bans and attacks on libraries from the right. Librarians in the know, have put together a massive list of ideas for things we can do to not only effectively fight against book censorship but that also will increase our own knowledge, vocabulary, and fluency in the world of censorship as it is right now. They have a task for every week - plus a few extra! Let’s check out the list and get started on taking action against censorship here.
