HOSTING A DEMONSTRATION FOR #NOKINGS
While Trump tries to slash Medicaid, Medicare, and food assistance, he’s also planning on spending tens of millions of dollars throwing a parade on what just so happens to be his birthday. We’re not taking any of it quietly. We’re taking to the streets on June 14th for a mass mobilization to reclaim Flag Day and remind America of one of our first national values: No Kings. (Rogan’s List is proud to be an official partner!)
More than 1,000 demonstrations are already scheduled in all 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico and at least three foreign countries - and we’re still growing. We can check it out and find one near us here - or we can organize our own. We can find a host toolkit here and join a training for hosts THIS AFTERNOON at 3PM here.
GET TRAINED IN NONVIOLENT RESISTANCE TO DICTATORS
Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), previous chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, is offering free activism training through her Resistance Lab. This series of online sessions gives practical lessons in effective, meaningful, nonviolent protest. The lessons draw on time-tested principles from Martin Luther King, Jr. and global movements that successfully fought authoritarians. Let's sign up for the next introductory session on Sunday June 1. We can bring our friends and family members and be even stronger in our work to stop Musk and Trump from taking over our U.S. government.
ACCESS TO MEDICATION ABORTION AT RISK – JUST LIKE PROJECT 2025 PROMISED
Medication abortion was used in 63% of abortions in the U.S. in 2023, and it’s been crucial to helping people exercise their right to choose in spite of the post-Dobbs bans. The forced birthers are determined to put a stop to it, and a full national ban on abortion pills was a central plank of Project 2025. Trump has gotten himself plenty of favorable headlines talking about how he would commit to not blocking access, as did his Food and Drug Administration commissioner Marty Makary. It was, as usual, a lie.
When news outlets claimed in late April that Makary indicated there were no plans to restrict mifepristone, what he actually said was that he was prepared “to evolve” as new data arrived. Then just days later, a conservative organization put out a new study claiming to show mifepristone was dangerous, and now Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has ordered the FDA to review regulations on this medication. (As explained by the AFP and the must-read
, the study lies and exaggerates about what it treats as “a serious or life-threatening adverse event,” and the group that released it is leading the activist effort to get mifepristone banned.)The forced birthers had a plan, and they’re putting it in motion, pressuring the FDA to end telemedicine prescription of mifepristone and limiting its use to the first seven weeks of pregnancy, when many women do not yet realize they are pregnant. They’re also building pressure to take mifepristone off the market entirely, and have long claimed the Comstock Act allows them to bar it from being sent through the mail.
This is a moment to raise our voices to the people in power. Let’s reach out to our members of Congress and remind them that this is not what the American people were told they were voting for and ask them to support measures like Senator Tina Smith’s Protecting Access to Medication Abortion Act to ensure the legality of mifepristone and guarantee it will remain available through telehealth and mail-order pharmacies. We can find sample language to work off of here or send this Resistbot message by texting SIGN PGKRDE to 50409.
DEADLINE TODAY FOR PUBLIC COMMENTS ON COVID SHOT ACCESS, POLITICIZATION OF CIVIL SERVICE
Access to COVID-19 vaccines in the U.S. is at risk. FDA Commissioner Martin Makary and FDA Director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research Vinayak Prasad, “neither of whom is a vaccinologist or has experience leading vaccine policymaking,” have announced a major change in US covid-19 policy without going through the proper channels of transparent, public, expert review by the FDA’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee and the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. The new policy will restrict covid-19 vaccinations to people 65 and older or with a chronic condition on a very short, proscribed list.
As
of Your Local Epidemiologist notes, “this move is deeply troubling. It bypasses the scientific systems built to answer these questions, replacing the public process in health policy with the opinions of two political appointees with chips on their shoulders.” Advocates are urging the public to demand: (1) updated vaccines by Fall 2025, (2) recommendations for all age groups, not just high-risk individuals, (3) more frequent boosters (at least every 6 months), and (4) updated vaccines that match likely future variants. Submitting a public comment can help prevent unnecessary barriers to vaccine access.Public outcry has stopped or mitigated this Administration’s damaging policies before and we can do it again. We have until 11:59PM TODAY to submit a comment. The has more information, sample talking points and instructions here, and we can make our voices heard directly here.
Today is also our last chance to submit public comments to the Office of Personnel Management on Trump’s proposed rule to reinstate Schedule F, which would turn 50,000 or more career civil servants into political appointees – requiring them to be loyal to him and bolstering personalist authoritarianism. The Federal Unionists Network has put out a toolkit on how to submit one here. Let’s check out the toolkit and make our voices heard here.
MILESTONE: DEMOCRATS CONTEST EVERY RACE IN CRITICAL VIRGINIA HOUSE OF DELEGATES ELECTION
“For the first time in recent memory,” Virginia Mercury reports, “Virginia Democrats have candidates running in all 100 House of Delegates districts.” As long-time Rogan’s List readers know, Virginia holds it major state elections in odd-numbered years. This year, the state primary is June 17, and the general election is November 4. Virginians will vote for their next governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, and House of Delegates. With the Virginia Senate under Democratic control, this is an excellent year to get the entire state into Democratic hands and send a powerful message rejecting MAGA. Here are some ways we can help:
Donate to the campaigns of “toss-up” Virginia candidates, which is where our money will make the most difference—use Oath to find them and donate. No amount is too small.
Write postcards to urge likely Democratic Virginia voters to the polls by signing up with Postcards for Virginia

The deadline for Schedule F comments is June 7th...it is odd that multiple publications stated May 23rd.
I confirmed this with other folks of the correct date. Now if the federal government suddenly changes the date at midnight, then sorry.
I did submit for the Covid one and will ponder F later.
