GOTV weekend is here!
PHONE BANK ANYWHERE, ANY TIME THIS WEEKEND
This is a frighteningly close race, and we need to make sure we don’t miss a single opportunity to secure another vote. The DNC is running virtual phonebanks constantly from 10 in the morning to 11:30 at night from now until polls close, so we can use any spare minute we have to try to increase turnout - and even a minute can make a difference. We can sign up for the anytime call crew here, and find the tools, training and support to make calls here.
FINAL PUSH FOR NEIGHBOR2NEIGHBOR WITH INDIVISIBLE
In this final weekend, Indivisible is committed to knocking on over 200,000 doors to reach voters and we can help. Their Neighbor2Neighbor program is a simple way for folks in key districts to reach folks around them about the election. It’s twice as effective at turning out voters than traditional canvassing. When we sign up, we’ll get a list of neighbors who are likely to vote with us but may need a little nudge to get going. We’ll get a script and some literature to use as we see fit. We can check out Indivisible’s Neighbor2Neighbor program for the final weekend here, and let our friends know about it as well. If we do not live in a targeted area, Indivisible has other ways we can canvass and help get out the vote here.
CANVASSING PENNSYLVANIA WHILE WE CAN
A face-to-face conversation is about as effective as voter contact gets, so campaigns are pushing hard to get us knocking doors in the communities that will decide the election. If we’re in a neighboring state or can make the trip at all, let’s check out opportunities to canvass in Pennsylvania:

Can’t get on the doors or to the phones? There are still opportunities left to reach voters by textbanking. Sunrise and United We Dream are both seeking volunteers for shifts this weekend which we can sign up for here or here. GETTING READY TO PROTECT THE VOTE
In the age of Donald Trump, the work doesn’t stop when the polls close. We need to prepare so that every vote gets counted, and vote suppressors don’t use technicalities and complex schemes to silence us. The Harris-Walz campaign is already phone banking to reach likely voters who might have issues with their ballots. We can sign up for a voter protection shift now and after Election Day here.
