TEXTING WITH FIELD TEAM SIX
Field Team Six is starting its final push for this election cycle, reaching unregistered voters who are likely Democrats and getting them on the rolls. There are still millions of people yet to be reached! We can sign up to join their text banks on Thursdays and Saturdays here and here.
HELP RECRUIT FOR NEIGHBOR-TO-NEIGHBOR CANVASSING
Indivisible’s Neighbor2Neighbor tool helps folks easily do relational canvassing in decisive swing states and districts – because the most effective voter outreach is from people you already know and respect. But those of us in deep blue or deep red areas can still do our part with this program! Indivisible needs folks to call likely volunteers in swing districts and recruit them to do Neighbor2Neighbor canvassing. Indivisible Northampton-Swing Left Western Massachusetts is holding an online training for these calls on Monday at 7 PM – and after that we can phonebank whenever we have time on our own! STICKY NOTE CAMPAIGNING
Get a pad (or 2 or 3) of sticky notes, write messages and post them wherever women may see them – public bathroom stalls, the backs of tampon boxes, public bathroom mirrors, the gym, etc. Suggested message: “Woman to Woman – Your vote is private. No one sees your vote at the polls. Protect your rights! Vote Harris-Walz!” Men are also starting to adapt this method to help reach folks who may not realize this could be their way out. OVERSEAS AND MILITARY VOTERS: ASSISTANCE AND ALERTS
The Federal Voting Assistance Program has a service that will send us email alerts that provide absentee voting information, deadline reminders, and more. If we’re overseas or military voters, let’s sign up, and let’s share this information with those who need it. And if we’ve requested a ballot as overseas or military citizens and haven’t received it yet, we can still vote by filling out the Federal Write-in Absentee Ballot with this online assistant.
EFFECTIVE DONATING IN THE FINAL DAYS
We’ve all been bombarded with requests for money from every direction the last few months, and it’s hard to know who really needs it. Fortunately, the folks at Give Smart have been hard at work determining where our dollars can go furthest this campaign cycle. Let’s consider splitting a donation between the 10 legislative races they and The States Project have calculated are most likely to be tipping points for our last contributions!
