HARRIS/WALZ MAKES PHONEBANKING SIMPLE
Talking with voters one on one can make a powerful connection, and in these final weeks we need every voter we can get! The Harris/Walz campaign has made it very simple for us to help out, providing a page with links to specific information for every state, giving us the tools, training and support we need to be successful. Whether we are experienced phone bankers or just starting out, our calls can make a big difference today, using all the help and support given to us here.
A “MODERATE” WHO WON’T OPPOSE MASS DEPORTATIONS
A progressive Democrat has a real shot at taking down a name-brand incumbent GOP congressman in a suburban swing district in New Jersey. Sue Altman, a former teacher and activist running hard on reproductive rights and taking on corruption, is polling at a virtual tie with Rep. Tom Kean Jr, one of the Biden-district Republicans. She decisively beat him in a recent debate where Kean stayed dead silent for a full eight seconds after Altman pushed him to answer whether or not he’d support mass deportations. The Working Families Party is hosting phonebanks for Altman tonight and next Thursday. Let’s sign up to take part here.
TEXT TO BEAT VOTE SUPPRESSION TONIGHT AT 7 PM
This election may well come down to how effective the GOP’s voter suppression tactics are. It is crucially important we make sure Democrats aren’t turned away at the ballot box. VoteRiders is hosting a textbank TONIGHT at 7PM ET to reach the folks most likely to be disenfranchised by voter ID laws in the swing states of Wisconsin and Georgia, providing them the information and assistance they’ll need to break through Republican barriers to the ballot box. We can sign up to take part here.
TELL EVERYONE WHY YOU’RE VOTING FOR KAMALA
Want to take a brief break from voter contact? MoveOn has found short, authentic selfie videos on why we’re voting for Kamala Harris can be extremely persuasive to folks in our networks! They’re asking us to record quick videos to share with friends and family about what’s at stake this November. We can make our videos here.

PROJECT 2025: IMPACT ON UNION MEMBERS & WORKING FAMILIES
The AFL-CIO Committee on Political Education Treasury Fund has broken down what the Trump/MAGA/Project 2025 agenda means for union members and working families. Let’s explore here and let’s spread the word. Then, let’s block this deeply anti-worker agenda and make a plan to vote for union-recommended candidates on our ballot.
STATE-SPECIFIC ACTIONS
MA – TURN OUT VOTERS FOR THE BALLOT QUESTIONS
While our federal seats are securely blue, there’s still plenty of important questions on the ballot in Massachusetts next month – including increasing government accountability, expanding the right to organize to ride share drivers and raising the minimum wage for tipped workers. Progressive Massachusetts is organizing folks to vote yes on all five ballot questions. They’re hosting phonebanks to reach voters TONIGHT, Thursday, October 24th and again on Monday, October 28th. We can sign up to join these efforts here and here.
