PHONE BANK TO WIN IN KEY STATE NORTH CAROLINA
North Carolina is a key state for Harris to win and right now, it’s nearly a tie… one that we can help break. The North Carolina Democrats are looking for people to help call voters and get out the vote. This is one of their top priorities and it’s a virtual activity, so we can easily do it from wherever we like. These virtual phone banks will be held Wednesdays and Thursdays on Zoom, from now through Oct 30th, with many times available and training provided before we start making our calls. FIRST SWIFTIES FOR KAMALA PHONEBANK SATURDAY
Look what Trump made her do! Taylor Swift has endorsed Kamala Harris, because we are never, ever, ever going back - together. Swifties for Kamala and Voters for Tomorrow are joining together to call unregistered students in the swing states of Wisconsin and Georgia this Saturday, September 14th to help them register to vote! SIMPLE TOOL TO FIND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES NEAR US
If we want to volunteer for Kamala Harris’ campaign but don’t know where to begin, this handy search tool from the campaign can help us get started. All we need to do is put our zip code into the form, submit it and we will get a variety of opportunities to pitch in. We can try putting in our zip codes and seeing what volunteer opportunities are waiting for us right here.

CALL OUT TRUMP, VANCE AND THE GOP FOR SPREADING RACIST LIES ABOUT HAITIAN IMMIGRANTS
While no one expects Republicans to suddenly change their stance to one that recognizes the humanity and dignity of new arrivals in our country, Trump and Vance have sunk to new lows, pushing lies about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio abducting and eating people’s pets and doubling down on them despite being debunked by the city manager and police. The Republican ticket has also been denounced by the father of a young boy killed in a bus crash in Springfield last year for their moral bankruptcy in using his son as a political tool, and refused to apologize as the father requested. Civic Shout has a petition we can sign denouncing them here. We can also write letters to the editor of our local newspapers, urging people to consider the numerous racist and misogynistic lies spewed by the Trump/Vance campaign when deciding whom to vote for.

VOTE EARLY FOR THE WIN!
This blog post from The Grassroots Connector explains how voting early, in person or by mail, benefits Democratic candidates from Kamala on down the ballot. A new website called Vote On Day One (affiliated with Swing Left) offers videos and printable tools (flyers, business cards, stickers/buttons, postcards, yard signs, and doorhangers) we can use to promote early voting in our virtual and physical communities. Early voting starts September 20 in VA, SD, and MN, and starts October 1 in VT. Click here (scroll down to “general election”) to see the Day 1 dates for other states.
