REGISTER PA VOTERS IN PERSON OR ONLINE WITH FIELD TEAM 6
Pennsylvania is a key state for Harris to win, so the more Democratic voters the state has, the better. Democrats had a 12% registration advantage over Republicans back in 2008… it’s now down to only 4%. It’s time to boost those numbers and help Kamala win! Field Team 6 has several ways we can help, either virtually from our own homes or on the ground in Pennsylvania neighborhoods. There are many times available for in-person work registering voters from Sundays through Fridays from 12-5pm, starting from now until Oct 21st, which we can sign up for here. If we want to help register voters virtually, we can join Field Team 6 on Thursdays from 4–6pm EDT. Shifts are available today through Oct 17. FLIP THE OHIO SUPREME COURT - TONIGHT
The Ohio Supreme Court, which currently has four Republicans and three Democrats, has the job of deciding how to implement the Reproductive Rights Amendment that citizens of Ohio recently passed. In order to change the balance of the court, all three Democrats running this year need to win. We can sign up for a phonebank TONIGHT at 5pm to help turn out voters for these judicial candidates and Senator Sherrod Brown. We can also join the email list for Indivisible Northampton/Swing Left Western Massachusetts to get updated on future events like this one and check out the Ohio Democratic Party’s Mobilize page for more ways to help.
NEW LETTER CAMPAIGNS WITH VOTE FORWARD
Vote Forward has just added letter writing campaigns in additional congressional districts! "We can now write to Democratic-leaning voters in CT-05, IN-01, KS-03, OR-06, TX-15, and VA-07. In these competitive U.S. House districts, these letters could help drive turnout in close races, where the Democratic candidate needs our help to gain or keep their seat." We can sign up to write letters for one of these campaigns here.
REPORT OHIO SHERIFF FOR VOTER INTIMIDATION
Via a public Facebook post (screenshot), Sheriff Bruce D. Zuchowski of Portage County, Ohio, has called on residents to write down the addresses of homeowners with signs in their front yards supporting Vice President Kamala Harris for president. (Media report.) This looks like a disturbing case of voter intimidation and a violation of the right to free speech. Let’s report Sheriff Zuchowski to one or more of these authorities:
