SUPPORT THE MOVEMENT VOTER PROJECT
The Movement Voter Project funnels money to grassroots communities in key election areas, empowering them to reach out to potential voters with whom they already have relationships. This strategy has helped elect Democrats up and down the ballot, and organizers are now working hard to elect Harris and deliver a democratic Congress. HELP NEEDED IN THE RUST BELT
Rust Belt Rising exists to reconnect the Democratic Party to its base of working families by training candidates to lead on foundational economic issues. We work with Democratic candidates in the six states bordering the Great Lakes (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin) to transform their values into persuasive economic messages. Rust Belt Rising's innovative voter registration programs helped thousands of these states’ residents register in 2020 and 2022 and will do so again this year. RBR partners at Civitech find targets of people who would likely vote our way but are unregistered at their current address as they compare commercial mail lists and voter files. They will mail these targets a pre-filled voter registration form with a motivational flyer and postage to their clerk. Volunteers, like ourselves, text these targets and call them to encourage them to complete the easy process of registering. We can sign up to call: 1) WI voters here, 2) MI voters here, and PA voters here. (h/t Chop Wood Carry Water)

JOIN A TEXTBANK TO REGISTER NEW DEM SWING STATE VOTERS SATURDAY
If we are looking for more ways to get out the vote in November, texting is one way to make a powerful impact. Around the 2022 Midterm Elections, 30% of the people FieldTeam 6 texted registered as Dems or Independents, and the predicted “Red Wave” was barely a trickle. We need to do this again and this Saturday, September 28 at 12 PM ET, we can join Field Team 6 as they text 1 million unregistered likely Democratic voters. If we can’t make this Saturday, or want to do more, we can try any remaining Saturday through Nov 2, at the same time. The target is key swing states where just a few new Democrats could give us all a Harris/ Walz victory. We can sign up to text and register new Democratic Swing State voters!
