Today in Raleigh at the Capitol a group of North Carolina Writers hosted a rally about recently 'banned words'. This is word/phrase list that was given out at the NSF (National Science Foundation). A couple times we were at mics saying the hundreds of words. I joined fellow Democracy Out Loud member Ellen Canavan to speak some of the words. Later we chalked things up.
In attendance was Cliff Cash (comedian), his brother Wiley Cash (author), Jill Mccorkle (author of Cuss Time and she read/shared the story), and NC Poet Laureate Jaki Shelton Green. Among others.
