Hmmm...I am as progressive as they get. Voted all D's, and truly believe that we are better than the current administration. I cannot stand Trump or Musk. However, I have owned Teslas since 2019. It was not a political statement but an environmental one. Musk had not yet shown himself to be who he truly is. I believe your encouragement to protest the brand to hurt Musk is misguided. Henry Ford was a Nazi, so let's protest Ford Motors. I contribute to ACLU and Public Citizen, and believe in their work. I request that you retract this misguided call to action.
David, I sharply disagree. Most of Elon Musk's wealth is tied up in Tesla stock. Hurting Tesla hurts him directly. And if Henry Ford were actively still running Ford Motors, and also spreading antisemitism through a national publication, and also in the process as we speak of dismantling the federal government, I would absolutely endorse protesting Ford.
If "good people work there" is the standard, you have taken all economic action off the table, forever. Does that seem like the right tactic for this moment?

I guess you could care less about the many, many good folks who work there. I get it…I hate the guy too.
